A PARTNERSHIP FOR PURPOSE

Our Story: Forest Post & Blue Lotus

Blue Lotus programs were born from a unique partnership with Forest Post, an exceptional social enterprise working with 9 indigenous communities across Kerala's Western Ghats. For over two years, Forest Post has increased women's incomes by 35-40% while preserving traditional knowledge and protecting the rich cultural heritage of the region.

Forest Post is more than just a partner—it's a proven model of creating sustainable livelihoods by placing Blue Lotus programs into this context: you directly contribute to this empowering initiative, supporting 72+ artisans from the Kadar, Muthuvar, and Malayar communities as they thrive, and you return with skills and wisdom that make life more magical.

THE VISION BEHIND THE JOURNEY

Our Curator, Preetha Mathews

Preetha's professional journey across Blue Lotus was inspired by a profound observation: despite language barriers, travelers and the local communities in Kerala, she grew closer through authentic cultural exchanges. She envisioned creating immersive experiences that build these connections both for travelers and the communities she cherishes. Blue Lotus is the culmination of that vision a structured program that facilitates transformation while directly benefiting indigenous communities.

With 20+ years of experience navigating diverse industries, along with her deep understanding of Forest Post's social impact, Preetha brings both the business acumen and the heart needed to create truly meaningful programs.
